Housing

More than seven thousand residents call the neighborhoods of King Park home. Their backgrounds are just as diverse as the houses they live in, ranging from townhomes to condos, single family homes, apartments, live-work townhomes, carriage homes, duplexes and more.

Current Residents

King Park development Corporation is always looking for ways to improve the quality of life for our residents. Take advantage of the following programs below.

Owner-Occupied Repair Program

We’re pleased to announce that we are partnering with the Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity (GIHFH) to provide $300,000 in home repair funding to qualifying residents in 2017. These funds will be provided to the home owner in the form of a no-payment, no-interest, 30-year deferred loan.

Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity will be coordinating repairs themselves while we will provide outreach to residents and will intake and process applications. Priority will be given to projects which require exterior, energy efficiency, and health and safety repairs, as well as those which most highly leverage our CDBG dollars.Learn more about this program by clicking here.

Prospective Residents

We value good renters as much as our homeowners. Income-qualified renters should explore the many offerings we have whether you are living by yourself, or looking for an entire family. Several market rate options also exist throughout the neighborhood ranging from carriage houses, to full homes. Be sure to check local listings, and drive through the neighborhood regularly to see all the area has to offer.

King Park has many lots shovel-ready for a new home.  You may be interested in several adjacent lots, or just one lot nestled in the existing housing fabric.  You may be interested in historic architecture or desire contemporary design. Whatever your interests, there is a place in King Park for you to realize your dream home.

If you are considering buying a home in the Indianapolis area, look no further than King Park.  We have new homes, as well as historic rehabs in all shapes and sizes. If King Park doesn’t offer the perfect home for you, don’t forget to search some of our local real estate agencies as well.
